Sugar Shocker

Did you think that  sugar was just in your favorite dessert?  Think again.

I love the premise of this linked article:  any food with more than 15 grams of sugar should be considered dessert (and eaten sparingly).  Check out all the non-dessert items that should be considered dessert.  Vitamin Water??  Thai Chicken Salad??

Do you want to age fast?  Get nice and wrinkly?  Become not so adorably chubby?  And cause all sorts of havoc to your health?  Then eat Sugar!

And remember, it’s not just the obvious sugars that we add to our coffee or sweets treats.  Our body turns the following into sugar as well:  bread, pasta, bagels, crackers, muffins, etc.   Avoid enriched flour – you’re just mainlining sugar!

And don’t get me started on all those zero calorie Frankenstein sugar substitutes.  That’s for another day, another blog.
