Food Rules – An Eater’s Manual

Want to read a very small, short book?  With simple words of wisdom regarding food?

Check out Michael Pollan’s book called Food Rules – an Eater’s Manual.

Each page has a short paragraph on clever, yet sensible food rules such as:

“Don’t eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn’t recognize as food”.

“Eat only foods that will eventually rot”.

“It’s not food if it arrived through the window of your car”.

“Treat treats as treats”

“Avoid food products containing ingredients that no ordinary human would keep in the pantry”.

“Don’t eat breakfast cereals that change the color of the milk”.

There are 64 Food Rules.  All worth the read.

Rule 64 is: “Break the rules once in a while”.
