Use the whole turkey. Make turkey stock.

Thanksgiving is over but the turkey can still keep on giving.  Turn the left over turkey carcass into a healthy stock for later use.  One of my favorite blogs has an easy recipe.

Here is an interesting quote from the recipe:  “I add a little vinegar to my stocks which helps to pull the minerals from the animal bones creating a nutrient-rich stock. This is especially important for growing children and pregnant and nursing mamas”.    I’d add that those same minerals are important for the rest of us as well.

Here is the blog link for this recipe.  It comes from The Whole Life Nutrition Kitchen.  http://www.nourishingmeals.com/2011/11/how-to-make-turkey-stock.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Gluten-freeWholeFoods+%28The+Whole+Life+Nutrition+Kitchen%29

P.S.   If you want a great site for all things gluten free – this site will fill that bill as well.
