The Farmer’s Markets are open for business.

Spring has sprung which means that your local Farmer’s Markets are opening for the season.   Most farmer’s markets start up around April/May and run through Sept/Oct.

Buying from your local farmer’s market is the very best way to ensure that you get the most nutrient bang for your buck.  The food is fresh, recently harvested, and has not traveled across the country (or continent) to get to you.  Also, most farmer’s markets have locally made crafts, food, honey, natural cosmetics, etc.  My local North Bend farmer’s market even has entertainment!

So whether you go on your own, or share the experience with family and friends, it’s time well spent.

Also of interest are CSA’s (Community Supported Agriculture).  These are local farms that provide you personally with a regular supply of fresh, local produce, etc.  Click here to learn more about CSA’s.    For you here in the Greater Seattle/Bellevue area, click the following link to find a CSA near you:  CSA link

Lastly, what about Grass Fed Beef and other pasture raised animals?   You can click here to learn more about the health benefits and to find suppliers in your area.

Support your local farmers.  It’s good for all of us.   Go.  Enjoy.  Thrive!
